Richart Pires is a creative director and photographer from the island of São vicente in Cape Verde. Throughout his school education Richart became interested in photography as a hobby, without formal training in the field. Amassing a fan base in the hundreds of thousands worldwide, Richart’s brand and social media platforms grew, new and exciting opportunities began to emerge, and he quickly realized that his hobby had become his livelihood.

Richart now works with some of the biggest brands in Cape Verde, as part of the Staff Promo team, and the national clothing brand, Dope Mates.

Richart draws much of his inspiration from books other photographers on social networks, design and travel to places on the other islands of Cape Verde. With the propensity to take the camera and capture the world at any time, his desire to create boosts his perspective and represents something much greater as he continues to seek the extraordinary in the common thus raising creativity and new ideas.
